Mental health is something that is super important and is still something that is a bit of taboo subject, but is nevertheless something to carry on talking about.
I first started my journey about two years ago where i first went to the university counsellors for an initial assessment, where I then was referred to have CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
After a bit of a wait, I then had another assessment and off I went on my CBT journey.
I worked really hard and I am glad to say, tackled some of my anxiety and stress triggers.
However I thought I was done and my anxiety was under control and I was okay, and managing everything, after a year of no CBT and stress mounting up with finishing my final year of University and moving house, it is now to time to continue my journey with counselling and CBT. I have self-referred myself.
I would definitely say if you feel you need it to just go for it, asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it shows that you want a bit of a helping hand, and support.
I hope this time around CBT is going help me with some of my stresses and help with managing it a lot more.
